Company History

1965 Green Property founded as a private Irish property investor.

1985 Green Property Ltd is Listed on the Irish & London Stock Exchange as Green Property Plc.

1993 Stephen Vernon joins Green Property Plc as Managing Director.

1996 The 1.3 million sq ft Blanchardstown Centre opens.

1998 Green Property Plc acquires Trafford Park Estates for £180m, becoming one of the UK's largest industrial landlords.

2000 Green Property Plc forms a JV with Goldman Sachs' Whitehall Fund to acquire P&O Plc's commercial property portfolio for over £400m.

2002 Stephen Vernon takes Green Property Plc private, backed by Merrill Lynch and Bank of Scotland - the company has a £2billiion portfolio across Ireland and the UK.

2004 A 2-year phased sell-down of UK assets realises £1.48 billion of receipts and an exit from the UK market.

2004 The Green Property Plc management team and Bank of Scotland buy-out MBO partners Merrill Lynch.

2006 Green Property (UK) Ltd is formed and re-establishes the business in the UK.

2008 Pat Gunne joins as Managing Director, and Green Property Ventures is established to manage a UK 1.5 million sq ft investment property portfolio acquired by sister companies.

2010 Green Property Ventures appointed to Asset Manage a UK property portfolio on behalf of GE Capital.

2010 Green Property Ventures form a joint venture with TPG Capital to invest €900m debt and equity into UK and Irish Real Estate.

2011 Lloyds Banking Group ties up with Green Property Ventures to provide Asset Management and work-out services to receivers the Bank has appointed over its Irish loan exposure.
